Job description:

What You’ll do
Support business development and operational portfolio management activities for a global utility-scale solar and storage developer via structuring analytics, forward market outlook, market intelligence analysis and customer contract negotiations.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Support financial modelling to assist in customer discussions and offtake negotiations
• Conduct market research and incorporate market intelligence in revenue modeling
• Run analytics on market risks and optimization opportunities for PV and BESS projects, including basis, curtailment and dispatch optimization
• Support the management of market risk exposure by working with internal & external resources to forecast and hedge basis risk and optimize project revenues

Knowledge
• Strong analytical skills, proficient in excel and Python
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written
• Ability to efficiently and effectively articulate complex and ambiguous information in a concise and accurate manner
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfort working in fast-paced environments and frequent deadlines
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree is a plus
Experience
• 1-2 years’ experience in market analytics / structuring in the energy industry
• Understanding of renewable and energy storage fundamentals and US energy markets in general
