This position is ideal for engineers who thrive on solving complex problems across multiple disciplines, managing large portfolios, and developing new standards and systems necessary to support the energization of the future.

Job Description:

Operational & Technical Support

Provide engineering support for post-commissioned projects experiencing performance, reliability, or equipment issues.
Lead or assist in root-cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action plans to restore or improve system performance.
Support investigations into mechanical, electrical, or structural field issues in collaboration with O&M and Product Engineering.

Construction & Commissioning Support

Assist active construction projects with technical guidance and troubleshooting during late-stage installation and commissioning.
Review site design packages and verify field implementation aligns with Nextracker standards and specifications.
Assign and coordinate CAD work with design resources to address specific customer requests or project modifications.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Work closely with internal stakeholders (Project Engineering, Product Design, O&M, Sales, and Quality) to ensure consistent communication and fast issue resolution.
Engage directly with EPCs, contractors, and owners to support troubleshooting and corrective action implementation.
Document engineering findings and produce clear, actionable reports for stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement & Feedback Loop

Capture lessons learned from operational sites and communicate those insights to design, quality, and product development teams.
Participate in developing and updating technical standards, SOPs, and field troubleshooting procedures.
Contribute to reliability improvement programs across the operating fleet.

Data & Performance Analysis

Review system performance data (SCADA, monitoring platforms, Power BI, etc.) to identify trends and recurring technical issues.
Support data-driven decision-making for maintenance prioritization and corrective action validation.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent technical field).
2-5 years of experience in solar, renewable energy, or industrial engineering, with demonstrated interdisciplinary engineering experience, including mechanical or hands on technical work across design, construction, commissioning, and operations.
Strong understanding of utility-scale solar design, tracker systems, and power plant operations.
Experience reviewing design documentation, field reports, and as-built drawings.
Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.

Preferred:

Hands-on experience with field issue troubleshooting or O&M coordination.
Familiarity with solar performance analysis tools and data systems.
Experience working with EPCs, contractors, and suppliers in a technical support capacity.
Knowledge of reliability engineering and root-cause analysis methodologies.
